The word ‘yoga comes from the Sanskrit word ‘to yoke’ or union. Yoga is a union of the mind, body and soul.
I originaly began practicing yoga years ago having been taking pilates classes and wishing to achieve a greater level of flexibility. When I first started I was very unflexible and couldn’t touch my toes, but something about yoga kept me coming back and I found that with regular practice the poses got easier and I became more flexible and was able to do poses that I’d originally found impossible.
As I practised yoga on a regular basis it started to change my outlook to life and eventually changed it in a major way and I decided to train to be an instructor so I could share the gift of yoga.
My classes are suitable for all levels – there is no such thing as being too unflexible to practice yoga and classes can be modified for your own level of fitness and ability.
