Yoga doesn’t have to be done with mats and floor-based exercises. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for supportThere are lots of yoga postures and simple stretches that can be enjoyed sitting in a chair.
This gentle form of yoga uses classic joint mobility exercises which are combined with gentle stretches and yoga postures to keep you mobile. Chair yoga can help to ease aches and pains. These classes are specifically designed to support anyone who may be recovering from illness or surgery or who has difficulty getting up and down to the floor.
Chair Yoga Classes will start on 6th January 2025
The Class will be on Mondays at 11.15 am for 45 minutes and will cost £9.00, including a cup of coffee/tea/herbal tea and a cake at the end of the session. Classes will be held in the warm, welcoming studio which is easily accessible and has changing and WC facilities with free parking. Spaces will be limited so please register your interest below.

Chair Yoga for Residential Homes
Yoga is very beneficial for elderly people A 2012 study of older adults with a median age of 88 years found that 8 weeks of regular chair yoga may improve mobility and decrease the fear of falls among this age group, with no adverse effects.
