Mindful Mondays meditation and yoga at Namaste Hatha Yoga

Start the week with a clear head and a stress-free, calm demeanour. The Mindful Monday Class is designed to get your week off to a stress-free start. The Class begins at 9.15 am for 40 minutes and will include a short meditation, gentle yoga poses and flow, a relaxing Savasana and a free cup of herbal tea afterwards.

Each week we will work on a different issue, i.e. stress, insomnia, chakras etc., learn some yoga poses to combat the issue and put them into a flow.

When you first sign up for the class you will be given a link to download a free gratitude journal for your personal use.

The Mindful Monday Class includes:

This will be a small class so booking is highly recommended. The class is held Mondays 9.15 am – 9.40 am – £9.50 per person.

Tips for Mindful Mondays

Make a Goal List for the week

Setting aside 20 to 30 minutes on Mondays to make a goal list for the week is a great idea.

Try to break down your to-do list into micro objectives that you can accomplish over the next seven days.

Take a Walk

Spending time outside offers many benefits, from improved cardiovascular health to less anxiety. Short of time? Even just walking to the local shop or post box instead of driving can be beneficial

Eat a Healthy Breakfast

Eating healthily makes us feel better. Try making overnight oats the night before or a smoothie. There are plenty of easy recipes online

Stretch When You Get Out of Bed

Get up and stretch up to the sky for 20 seconds, then bend down as far as you can for another 20 seconds.

If you don’t want to get up, lean toward your legs for 15 to 20 seconds with the goal of touching your feet. If you have a favourite stretch, do that. Alternatively, practice Sun salutation A & B to wake the body up

Show Gratitude for the New Week

Begin each week with a statement of thanks. Try to change it up each Monday, and don’t forget the small things.

Put Aside 15 Minutes for Journaling

If you’re interested in self-development, you’ve undoubtedly stumbled upon lots of advice about journaling and its benefits. However, it can be difficult to commit to writing every day so try putting some dedicated time aside on a Monday. You will receive a free monthly gratitude journal when you sign up for this class

Try Yoga

Yoga stretches muscles you didn’t know you had and triggers the parasympathetic nervous system, which aids relaxation and brings a sense of calmness to your day. You don’t have to be flexible to try yoga, it is for everyone
